NASA’s Photographs

I love using space in my lyricism, and this is the first song I've released that's full of it! There is so much to outer space, and I love the contrast of using things that happen so far away from us to describe the happenings of our little lives down here on Earth. In this song, I used the concept of space being infinite, and the never ending dance between our Sun and the Moon to portray the love I have for someone as constant and never ending. I describe the person I love through my eyes, and in them I see the galaxies and the stars. I wrote this song about romantic love, but I feel that it represents all forms of love, since each are equally beautiful and impactful in their own ways.

Lyrics

If I am asked to define your charm

But words can’t describe what I see

I’d steal one of NASA’s photographs

Cause you’re a brilliant galaxy

I see the Earth in your eyes

Blue spheres full of beauty and life

freckles form the stars upon your skin

Theta sits on your temple, Atlas on your chin

And I love you when the moon comes out at night

And I love you when the Sun brings back daylight

I’ll hold you tight in the dark

Between our hands is a spark

The burns into the brightest flame

And lights us through the heavy days

I love you when the moon comes out at night

And I love you when the Sun brings back daylight

I’ll show you how the cosmos aligned

So we could find this love in every life

I love you when the moon comes out at night

And I love you when the Sun brings back daylight

I'll show you how the cosmos aligned

So we could find this love in every life
